Tia Proulx, BScN, RN, CPMHN(C)

Tia graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015. She has since completed post-graduate specialty education in psychiatric mental health nursing and achieved certification in the specialty from the Canadian Nurses Association.

Following graduation, she eagerly started work in the mental health field. She has benefited from experience working as a nurse in Acute Care Inpatient Psychiatry, working as a member of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team, and completing Rapid Psychiatric Assessments in the community. She has found facilitating group therapy and program development to be the most fulfilling and rewarding components of her job. She hopes to continue to develop these skills through supporting the education of mental health and addictions clinicians.

Her personal interests include any activity that include her dogs (Pepper & Lemon), exploring Nova Scotia, going out to eat, and spending time with her friends and family.
