Jamie graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2010 with a BN. After graduating, she worked in a variety of bedside care areas including medicine, palliative care, orthopedic surgery and critical care. A few years later, Jamie moved to Saskatchewan where she completed an Advanced Certificate in Basic Critical Care Nursing and worked on a Surgical Intensive Care Unit. In 2017, Jamie began working as faculty for the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and adjunct professor for the University of Regina. During her time there, Jamie completed her Master of Nursing degree and obtained an Advanced Certificate in Adult Education. In 2019, Jamie moved to Nova Scotia and accepted a position on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit where she worked until she transitioned to her role with the Learning Institute and the Critical Care Nursing Program.
Jamie is married and has two children that keep her quite busy. During any downtime Jamie and her family enjoy spending time outside, camping and exploring Canada.
