The Registered Nurses Professional Development Centre is pleased to offer the following course from our RN Bridging/Re-Entry Program. This program will help nurses enhance their professional practice, meet regulatory body requirements or review content assessed on the national licensure examination.
Changes in Health and Therapeutic Interventions II
The course reviews concepts as they relate to acute, potentially rapidly changing health problems (pathophysiology); diagnostic tests; and related concepts of professional nursing practice, including the nurse’s role in caring for clients. Various conditions are highlighted, from across the lifespan, and in various clinical settings. The nurse’s role in a rapidly changing situation will be highlighted with concepts such as clinical judgement, the nursing process, ethical, legal and professional considerations, interprofessional collaboration and communication. Case studies and simulation are used to help students learn to apply knowledge to real-life situations.
